Wonders of the Eye for Hermès
Exhibited in Hermès' flagship store in Stockholm, the annual Christmas window display for 2022 was inspired by the duality of the eye. First, as a receiver of visual impressions, and secondly, as a transmitter of our internal emotions.
The treasured Hermès object becomes one with the characters.
The animated eyes, morphing into expressions of tender togetherness and festivity: beating hearts, a singing bird, fireworks.
The anthropomorphic figures capture attention through their curious gaze.

The Kelly Classique To Go wallet radiates as the lips.
The Soleil d’Hermès plate glimmers as a kaleidoscopic earring and the Eau de Cologne sparkles as a hair accessory. Meanwhile the rocking horse with its Libre Comme Pegase Shawl wings is transformed into a guardian angel.
We were invited by Hermès to create the Christmas window display for their Stockholm store. Our interpretation of the theme ‘‘Légèreté’’ — from French, meaning ‘‘lightness’’ — invites passersby to experience feelings of harmony and warmth this holiday season.
The window itself acts as a meeting point where four anthropomorphic figures capture attention through their curious gaze. They transport us to a magical dimension where the treasured Hermès objects become one with the characters. Through their animated eyes, the figures interact with each other and with onlookers. The eye movement follows the rhythms of the day: awake during opening hours, dozy morning and evening, and fast asleep at night. Every now and then, the eyes independently morph into expressions of tender togetherness and festivity: beating hearts, a singing bird, fireworks.
