Bolt Stool for La Chance

Bolt was originally part of the ‘‘Marginal notes’’ exhibition held by our studio as a creative stunt in 2010. The concept of the exhibition was to produce in real life the doodles and ‘‘marginal notes’’ that we had in our notebooks, however crazy they might seem. A year later, the resulting stool won the prestigious Wallpaper* Design Award.

Bolt is a strong contender for the most iconic stool of the La Chance collection. Its unique silhouette is highly recognisable with its four solid legs elegantly supported by a contrasting metal ring. Bolt is a paradox: brutal and very refined at the same time. The stool is also surprisingly comfortable; it is a sculpture for daily use.
