For our second collaboration with Japanese furniture brand Ariake, inspiration struck in a design workshop during a trip to Saga. We stumbled upon a petite stool, almost hidden under a desk, and were immediately struck by its functional simplicity. We wanted to create a new stool that felt as natural and confident as the one in the Ariake factory, but for a broader context.
The resulting Homage Stool is the indispensable extra seat for the home dining table — with enough personality to set the tone of voice for a cafe or restaurant. A repeated T-shaped junction supports the seat and backrest with its signature silhouette. Homage is a versatile stool available in two heights. It’s lightweight and easy to handle, making it a useful companion as much as an iconic design.
