The Formations installation at this year Habitare fair in Finland has been created with the new innovative and fully recyclable materials from the iQ Surface collection. This unique exhibition shows the aesthetic versatility of traditional homogenous vinyl flooring when considered in new contexts.
Formations was created by our studio and first showcased during Milan Design Week earlier this year.
After being exhibited in Milan, the elements of the installation have been stored and moved to Habitare. It’s a conscious decision which underlines Tarkett’s philosophy for sustainability by reusing existing materials.
Tarkett collects hundreds of tonnes of installation waste annually from the Nordics alone. This waste is recycled and used in new floors. Every recycled kilo saves 2 kg in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
Tarkett’s playful and surprising exhibition celebrates the unity of design and the circular economy.
