Trapets
A balancing act
Toulouse 1859 – a young daredevil soars through the air on a wooden pole attached to two long ropes above his father’s swimming pool. The wayward hobby premiered that year at Cirque Napoleon in Paris and was a big success; the trapeze art was born. Trapets is a light fixture for the living office developed for Zero. The shape is borrowed from the classical circus device, where the shade smoothly folds over the trapeze and provides a pleasant light for the work space.
